This a-la-carte project funded repair and restoration work at schools and related facilities, along with classroom equipment, across the Swaida area. Work ran from 20 November 2025 to 9 August 2026 and comprised 53 transactions totaling $47,871.36 in project cost.

Background

The project addressed damage to school buildings and their supporting infrastructure, including water networks, following the disruptions affecting the region. It also covered a small number of student grants and the supply of teaching equipment.

What was delivered

The bulk of spending, 49 of 53 transactions worth $46,859.36 (97.9% of project cost), went to cost of goods and cash grants: dozens of individual school and facility restoration jobs carried out between 20 November 2025 and 18 July 2026, water network repairs at school sites including Shahba, a solar power installation at Al-Hamak (18 May 2026, $7,936.00), restoration work at Ariqa, an interactive-screens purchase (18 July 2026, $9,500.00), and a shelter window-screens purchase (9 August 2026, $360.00). A small number of student grants and infant-milk purchases were also recorded within this activity list. Three transactions totaling $1,000.00 (2.1%) covered cash-for-work stipends, and one transaction of $12.00 (0.0%) covered logistics and transport.
